Oven braised pork chops.

Wondering if anyone can help me. My grandma used to cook pork chops in the oven, but I can't remember how she did them, they were brown so she must of browned them in a pan first, and they didn't have a sauce or anything with them, just a few juices. She cooked here's in a Pyrex dish. Any ideas what temperature and for how long?

I'd put them in on 200 for about 30 mins, until they are browned and cooked. They go like that in the oven without browning first.

I brown them first - couple of minutes on a high heat.

Then into a pan, foil (or lid over the top) and cook for 25 - 30 minutes on 160 fan which is 180 in conventional oven. The time depends on how thick the chop is.

(2 minutes either side, that is, and by high heat I don't mean very high! Just hot enough to get it nicely browned without cooking through too much)
