you can just mix the cornflakes and chocolate, yes. There are recipes involving cocoa powder and stuff instead of chocolate, but the choc method works fine just as basic cooking for kids.

This is a James Martin recipe and gorgeous

2oz butter
4oz chocolate
5tbsp golden syrup
3oz cornflakes

melt butter and chocolate in a pan with syrup - stir in cornflakes. (I usually put a dollop more choc and syrup in though).

This is another choctastic recipe

3 mars bars
100g chocolate
30z butter
2tbsp syrup
5 cups rice krispies

cut up the mars bars and melt with the butter and syrup. Stir in the rice krispies. Put into a traybake tin and chill. Melt the chocolate and spread over the top of krispie mixture. Chill till the chocolate topping has gone hard then cut into squares.

We have just made them with chocolate only - guess they might go a bit hard. But its chocolate so.......

Mars bar recipe looks looooovely too.
