Hey,

How many grams of mince do you think i need to make a chilli to feed 10 people?

125g is the typical portion size for mince, I’d probably go 1.5kg though if it’s for a party.

Three 500g packs would be a safe option for 10 - we recently made it for 30 people and 9 packs left us a little left over to freeze

Hey. Find a recipe for 4 and multiply it by 2.5.

SunSandAndLotsOfGin · 16/01/2023 19:39

I'd personally get two packs of 1kgs. That will make plenty and you'll prob have leftovers which you could freeze.
I always make far too much when we have visitors, but I'd always rather do too much than not enough.

BigBangSmallBang · 16/01/2023 19:39

I use 400 to 500 to feed the four of us so 1500 should be plenty. That said if doing a one off meal for people I don’t usually feed I would do 2kg so people can have seconds as I hate to feel mean and people eat more when eating out.

FlutterbButterfly · 16/01/2023 20:02

I'd say 2kg and it would leave you with some leftovers. Better to do a little too much than not enough.

Thank you all, thats so helpful, I definitely over judged it!
