You need to really fry up your chicken, mushrooms, and onions till its nicely done- cut up your veg and par boil. Put plenty of boiling water in till it covers all your meat & veg- gravy granules sprinkled in, mixing to a consistency you like. Season or don't and stick it on auto. Do it first thing in morning, when get home, quick stir- might need abit of top up with water, and lovely meal at 5.

I chop all ingredients, bung 'em in, add a packet mix, swtich on and come back at tea-time and serve up!

Unless it is mince (which I fry before adding in), all ingredients are raw, and I only cook it from 10am to 6pm roughly.

did it overnight once and it was foul tasting, so only do it from breakfastish time to dinner time now!!

if you wish for dumplings then put them in about an hour before serving.

psychomum - that's my way too!! Blitz up some tinned toms with veg/herbs/garlic/whatever and bung it all in!! Great if left on all day. I have a fab Crockpot where I can brown the meat first in the crckpot them take it off the hob into its slow cooker base. Dead easy.
