What are your best gadgets ?

I'm thinking small things, e.g. I've got a spiked onion holder that really helps when chopping onions with my arthritic hands.
I've had all sorts of fancy gadgets that are more trouble than they are worth.
I've also bought every available garlic grater/mincer, & have gone back to a microplane grater.

I have a little thing from Tefal, a mini chopper. It's not electric, you pull a string. I used it a lot! Not arthritic, just very clumsy. I used to hate chopping veg but now it goes so much quicker.

A chef knife and a mallet.

My ninja chopper! It can dice an onion (or any other veg) in < 3 seconds!
