Uses for stewing beef that aren’t stew?

Goulash soup (gulyas leves) is really good with some crusty rolls

I was just going to post this recipe. One of my favourites and dead easy.

Absolute banger of a recipe.

Borscht, wonderful warming winter meal.

On the rare occasion I buy stewing steak, it is always made into rendang - delicious!

Bibimbap!

Stroganoff, or if the chunks are big enough, boeuf bourguignon.

Always curry or goulash (preferably in a pressure cooker).

If not slow cook for a pie, or roll in ready made puff pastry for steak bakes as someone said upthread.

With the goulash it was more of a soup with lots of paprika sweated down with onions and potato (carrots and peas if available). Taught to me by my Hungarian granny. Served with plenty of pepper and good bread.

Greek Stifado (it is similar to a stew tbf but has rosemary and tomatoes added)

When I was growing up if my mum said we were having stew for dinner or could literally by anything made with beef in sauce ( other than mince), so I tend to put in whatever veg and spices/flavourings I feel like on the day

Chilli. Cook it long and slow and add beans a few hours before end. Shred the chunks. Use chipotle paste and a bit of dark chocolate.

Had this in a restaurant recently. OMG so delicious.

Slow cook with onions and seasoning, then add a suet crust pastry layer and steam another half hour or so.
