I bought some reduced sweet William pears today. Peeled and pOached them in half a bottle of cheap mulled wine with a little sugar in.left the pears to cool . Then reduced the liquid with more sugar to make a drizzling syrup.
They were really tasty, looked great, we served them with vanilla ice cream with the syrup drizzled over.
Really simple and delicious.
