Burgers

How do burger joints and restaurants get that lovely chargrilled flavour to
their burgers? I’ve tried making my own but they’re always so bland and even if they are grilled/BBQ’d they don’t taste the same as when you get one from a restaurant or Five Guys etc…

Is it some sort of special seasoning they use?

I’m curious too! I think maybe the burgers are cooked on high???

I'd imagine most places have a chargrill which will be the biggest contributor.
I think you can buy liquid smoke (Amazon?) that might be worth a go?

Restaurant I worked at bought quality burgers that are cooked on a chargrill.
Actual flames give that flavour.

I've only seen gas barbeques with the same effect tbh.

I add a small splash of this to the meat mix :-
