M&S or Waitrose?

M&S. Waitrose ready meals and sandwiches for that matter are shite.

Waitrose is better for ready to cook meals though.

M&S

Honeyroar · 27/12/2022 08:54

M&S

QuietYou · 27/12/2022 08:58

I've only tried M&S ones and found the quality has gone downhill recently so probably wouldn't recommend.
If I was buying a ready meal today I'd choose Charlie Bigham.

BarrelOfOtters · 27/12/2022 09:01

Think M&S has gone downhill. Cook or Charlie Bingham.

M&S; Waitrose ready meals are pretty terrible when it comes to vegetarian ones at least, some of them like pasta are like some inedible tasteless/bland 80s throwback.

But Cook is miles better than either, as someone else pointed out.

Charlie Bingham wherever I buy .
I also recently bought a couple of Cook ones and they were delicious

M&S

@tulips27
I agree - the Waitrose vegetarian moussaka is absolutely terrible, I have never had a worse ready meal and it’s the only vegetarian meal I could find apart from Mac cheese

toastofthetown · 27/12/2022 09:11

I prefer M&S of all the options mentioned. I’m not sure I’ve seen a Charlie Bingham vegetarian ready meal so can’t offer an opinion on that, the Cook meals I’ve had have been disappointing: fine and edible but that’s as much as I can say. Can’t remember having a Waitrose ready meal, but I was underwhelmed by their party food this year.

What's really weird about Waitrose ready meals is you have this whole supermarket full of fancy ingredients, special things you couldn't find elsewhere: fine wines, imported cheese etc. then you have these awful, bland ready meals that resemble something from a bad school canteen thirty years ago shoehorned in amongst all the treats. It's really incongruous.
