So I thought I would make it tonight to put in the oven tomorrow but the apples are going brown already now I'm slicing them. Any advice guys?

Pop them in water with a bit of lemon juice in?

Cover with the crumble mixture so no air can get to them?
I always cook my apples before putting them in a crumble so don’t have this problem!

Cook the apples before you make it up and then add topping just before you bake it.

Cook them with brown sugar and no-one'll know.
Or yes, a little lemon juice in the water. You should stew the apple slightly before you assemble anyway, and once it's got that far it will indeed keep beautifully to cook tomorrow.

Thing is I need to prep it fully tonight as leaving in the morning and taking with me. Wondering if I should cook it or just put in oven tomorrow 🧐

Cook the apples in a saucepan with brown sugar, a knob of butter, lemon zest etc. make the crumble and put it in a freezer bag in the fridge or freezer then assemble in the morning

Thank you everyone. How should I cook the apples first? Just in a pan with sugar?

Definitely this if it needs to be fully prepped tonight!!! Good luck OP 😊

It’s worth making tons of crumble and having it in the freezer. If you buy tins of pears you are never more than 25 mins from pear crumble 😉
