Not very exciting here, I'm sure someone will be having something very exotic.

DDs have both had rice krispies with milk and a yoghurt.

DH - still in bed!

Me - About to make myself scrambled egg and grilled bacon.

About an hour franny, if you start cooking now by the time it is all ready it will be lunch time(ish)

colditz · 03/02/2008 11:50

FrannyandZooey · 03/02/2008 11:52

FrannyandZooey · 03/02/2008 11:53

I also want eggy crumpets

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 11:56

eggy crumpets?

sleepdeprivationandme · 03/02/2008 11:57

Here you all are - a new batch hot from the pan. Topped with optional bacon/brown sauce. Yummy.

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 11:59

why though, what about the crumpet makes it better than bread, considering that one usually has more bread than crumpets?

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 12:00

is it more ommlette-like?

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 03/02/2008 12:11

Gosh, some of these sound very nice!

DCs had Gorilla Munch cereal and toasted bagels. DH had toast. I had nothing.

Blandmum · 03/02/2008 12:30

This morning dh made pancakes.

Orange juice and a latte.

Very, very nice!

MissCreant · 03/02/2008 13:01

I'm sorry, but I am still thinking of this eggy crumpet and I should probably be thinking about something else but I am intrigued.

Does it make the crumpet light, and well, like a souffle, or does the egg simply fill the holes so you are left with a crumpet structure surrounding little eggy tunnels?

I would experiment but I have neither crumpet or egg.

FrannyandZooey · 03/02/2008 13:25

I would think it would just fill up the holes so you had more egg than usual
I think it would be fab and will be trying it as soon as I can get my hands on a crumpet

LadyVictorianSqualor · 03/02/2008 13:28

I have crumpets in the cupboard but dont like egg so I shant try it.
Having said that I did eat egg this morning, maybe my body needed something that was in it, I'm sure I've only ever eaten it when pg.

We like to sometimes do a picnic breaky on sundays so that we can have a walk and play frisbee or something silly and fun. We take a thermos of soy hot chocolate, almond butter, bread/crackers, bananas and sliced up veggie sausage if I can be bothered!

Didn't today though as I have been poorly with asthma and am avoiding too much cold air .
So we had soy milk and almond butter on toast.
