Forgot I was par boiling ...

And left them wayyyy too long. I always par boil the day before then roll in hot fat and leave to cool over night. Then roast the next day. Always perfect. But tonight my DS woke and I totally forgot I had them on while tending to him and they've gone too mushy. I cut smaller than normal too to make them go further so they're even worse than they would have been. So gutted as my potatoes are normal the only thing I get right. Any advice wise ones?

Just mash em?

Ooh they look fab thank you (had to Google) but it's for a Christmas dinner type thing and also would probably fuck those up too, they look tricky

I quite often overboil them on purpose as you get more crunchy bits that way….

Are they past help?

They look like they'll roast beautifully with lots of crispy bits like a pp said.

The pics doesn't look as bad as they do in real life. God I'm over dramatising this aren't I haha. I hate messing up in the kitchen tho

Thank you. Ok here's hoping. I'll stop being a drama Queen now and move on to my yorkshire prep. Or go to bed haha

Crispy bits are the best bits and these look awesome!! 😍
