I'm going to do a fondue for 6 people soon.
Please tell me your favourite things you like to dip...
I'm thinking
Bread
Potatoes
Broccoli
Cauli
Cherry tomatoes
but what else???

Really nice bread, cut or torn into cubes / small pieces. And you have to do a forfeit if your bread falls off your fork! I'd probably like to try little gherkins or those mini-sausages. But bread on its own is what we've always had...

Anything bite size do there’s no double dipping !

CuteCillian · 12/12/2022 00:37

Chunks of gammon.
Gherkins and large caper berries.
Baby corn cobs
Quails eggs - boiled.

this is what I mean by "little sausages"!

Crazymadchickenlady · 12/12/2022 00:42

We do chopped up pieces of Hot Dog sausages (the decent quality ones in glass jars), apples, mushrooms, broccoli, bread and carrot sticks

jalopy · 12/12/2022 00:42

Small pickled onions.

Just bread for me, it's all we've ever done. Salad on the side.

Lobelia123 · 12/12/2022 11:37

Cubes of seasoned and fried (medium rare) cubes of filler steak; baby corn spears; cubes of French baguette, cubes of crispy fried potato, whole lightly roasted button or chestnut mushrooms - basically anything that tastes good with a rich lovely cheese sauce....which is everything!

WeirdPookah · 12/12/2022 12:18

Apple is good too.

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 12/12/2022 12:21

Baby Hassleback potatoes, divine!

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 12/12/2022 12:26

I also like pastrami roll ups, blanched broccoli, breaded chicken. I prefer toasted crumpets cubes to bread, they work beautifully- I think because the cheese gets into the little holes :)

SummaLuvin · 12/12/2022 13:13

if you have vegetarian guests I would avoid serving meat entirely, or ask guests to spoon the cheese onto chipolatas/gammon/chicken.... rather than dunk in.
