Wrapping Xmas puds to gift

I’m making Xmas puds to give as gifts (late, I know!) but I don’t want to give the basins away as I won’t get them back.

What’s the best way to wrap them - I was thinking maybe greaseproof paper, then cling film, then muslin round the outside to look nice? Or do I ditch the cling film and use foil instead?

As an outer wrapping some Christmassy cloth (printed cotton) or muslin with nice ribbon?

Not sure on inner wrapping, I'd probably do greaseproof/foil to be safe. The pudding maker in our family was my grandmother. She always got the basins back with the threat that anyone who didn't return theirs wouldn't get on next year Grin

*one, she didn't actually curse them!

Greaseproof paper, then cling film if you are going to 'bag'... otherwise might leak through.... I use greaseproof paper then foil as I just stick a bow/bauble and holly on top...

Thanks both. These are relatives that we only really see at Xmas, so getting the bowls back would be tricky!
