Cheap slow cooker meal ideas for the freezer?

With the ever increasing cost of living I am in desperate need of batch cooking ideas so I can utilize the slow cooker.

The idea is for me to fill my freezer with slow cooker meals, so I only need to defrost and reheat in the microwave throughout the week - hoping this will save on gas prices and time!

Current favourites are sausage casserole, beef bouginion and lentil and bean chilli.

Please share your favourite slow cooker budget meals here!

Have you looked at taming twins site? I have made the chicken satay- gorgeous. I don't know how to add a link- sorry.

Thanks for the ideas OP!
Mine are boring and crop up on these threads all the time but I think they're so often repeated because they work so well.
I did a big batch of Bolognese a few weeks ago, half lentils half minced beef.
Do a chilli about once a month because its so versatile - with rice, nachos, on jacket potato, in enchiladas, pasta bake or even with chips.
BBQ chicken works well, as does curry/sweet and sour. I find it better for defrosting if the chicken is chopped into fairly small chunks. Plus DC prefer it that way.
I'd love any tips on better storage in the freezer too- currently I freeze in adult/child portions in ziplock type bags but it feels a bit wasteful. Takeaway containers take up quite a bit of room if they're not full though e.g. DC portions are only a few big spoonfuls.

I like German Lentil and Sausage, there are various recipes online, I have adapted one to suit me, using firm vegetarian sausages which I cut thin by defrosting just a little.

Hi OP, beef in guineas and chicken and mushroom casseroles are lovely. You can have them as they are with mash or if you don’t mind switching on the oven you can add some puff pastry to make a pie.

Pulled meats are lovely in the slow cooker be it beef, chicken, lamb or pork. I bag up the pulled meat in portions and then either add tomatoes and spices for fajitas/burritos, make sliders, add to sandwich, add to macaroni cheese etc.

These are all great ideas so far, thank you!
