HELP - quick question

Gone to get a pot of soft cheese out of my fridge and noticed it was open (I was sure it was brand new). I have NO idea how long it's been open for as I bought it a while back (it's still in date).

There is no mould etc but I know soft cheese can go funny easily. How do I know if I can eat it?

Usually grows mould if bad.

Smell test?

No
Idea at all on how long open?

Tastes okay and no mould. I am using it in a sauce so it will be okay.

But no clue how long it's been open for and I can get weird with things like this!

If it's Philly it's fine unless you can see any visible mould in my experience. But I'm pretty cavalier about stuff like that. If you're concerned then bin it

I wouldn't give it a thought if there is not mould or pink dots which is also mould!
