Recipe for cooking frozen vegetables with rice at the same time.

Hi, the recipes online require you to cook the rice first but I want to just bang it all in at the same time.

I would imagine the frozen veg would be all mushy by the time the rice is cooked. Can you add them 5 minutes before the end?

Put the frozen veg in a few minutes before the rice is cooked.

I would (part) cook the rice first.

family favourite is 'rainbow rice'

cook finely chopped onion in oil or butter until translucent
add herbs (herbs de provence usually)
add the rice kernels
add half the water & a stock cube
after 10 min add the remaining water and frozen veg
after about 10 min taje off the heat and stir in cubes of feta & crushed garlic and serve.
