Hi,
Long story short I have 2 cheeses that are in a cheeseboard selection with a use by date of 12/12/22 and they're supposed to be a Christmas present for someone. One is a soft cows milk cheese that you bake in the oven, the other is a soft goats cheese made from unpasteurised milk. Will they be okay to eat 2 weeks past use by date? Will be kept in the fridge unopened, they both have a rind if that makes a difference. I've read conflicting info online, some say apparently it's okay as long as they're unopened and refrigerated? Hoping someone more knowledgeable than me about cheese can reassure me. I normally look at and smell the food to tell if it's okay to eat but the cheeses are so pungent anyway 😅
