Can I and how long would you put it in. Says 25 mins for oven?

I've done it and it was fine. Just don't have the temperature as high - I'd halve the cooking time, too.

@ICanHideButICantRun thankyou!

I did it last week and it turned out great. I heated up half of the quiche and it took about 10 minutes so no idea how long it would take for a whole one.

Catdaft · 28/11/2022 18:09

@Gingerkittykat oh right! I'll maybe do about 7 or 8 minutes to start then! Thanks

I thought you could cook anything in an air fryer that you could cook in the oven.

Not sure why you'd reduce the cooking time so much though, things like chicken and chips seem to be much the same as an oven, about 20 minutes at 180-200. The benefit is that the air fryer is smaller so cheaper to run.

So I think I'd follow the oven instructions and just take a peep part-way through.

Chicken and chips take around 12 mins in ours - checked with a thermometer so definitely around half the time

I make quiche from scratch and can do it in the air fryer.

Gingerkittykat · 28/11/2022 19:21

Mine is a Ninja and generally can lower the cooking time slightly but it is not much quicker than the oven.

Catdaft · 28/11/2022 20:03

@filka really? My airfryer is about 10 minutes for chicken and chips.

The quiche turned out great. Done it at 160 for 6 minutes and it was perfect

@Catdaft Is that just blind-baking the pastry?

Gingerkittykat · 29/11/2022 13:06

I'm assuming it was heating a ready made quiche and not baking one from scratch.

Catdaft · 29/11/2022 14:15

It was one I bought from aldi so yes just heating it up
