Baking fruit bread as gifts in paper loaf cases

I want to do this at Christmas but my first attempt stuck to the card. Googling just tells me that paper/card loaf pans don’t need greasing ( and anyway this would spoil the appearance). Has anyone had any success with this?

I would be tempted to cook them in a tin and put the paper round it afterwards!

I’d thought about this but with bread it’s really difficult to get the exact size!

I'd prefer home made truffles😉

Bread is my thing! 😆

What about baking in a tin then wrapping them in a square of greaseproof turned on the angle with ribbon? Pinterest no doubt has better ideas too.

Those containers are useless! I bought a batch of them and everything you bake in them sticks even though they say they are parchment lined. I have had to line them with rectangles of parchment cut to fit myself! I would never buy them again, very annoying. I have baked sponge type cakes in them and they all stuck and that has a high fat content compared to bread which I imagine would stick even worse. I make Christmas cake in some lately just to try and use them up and I greased it really well first, it didn't entirely stick but that is just because the fruit cake is so firm that it's easier pull the cardboard off it. Line them or dump them!

I might try one more lined with baking parchment - otherwise it does sound as if they're pretty useless!

Line with tinfoil and grease like mary berry does for tray baked in her aga book from years ago?

I always use pre-made baking tin liners in my bread tins - I have them in 1lb and 2lb sizes. The bread doesn't stick, the paper peels off easily. I think mine came from Amazon, and Lakeland does them as well.
