Has anyone successfully cooked a Camembert in the airfryer?

Currently have one in there with caramelised onions on top in an experiment I very much hope goes right.

Just me eating tonight and couldn't justify the entire oven for it! Here's hoping I don't cremate something...

This is fine. Just make sure it's wrapped up in there. Adjust the time down a bit

An air fryer is just a mini oven, it’s not some new fangled science, it’s just a small counter top oven, so if you get the temp right it will work like any other oven

Yes, it gives a crispier crust than in the oven but I don't mind that.

My logical self knows this but despite being proficient in all other areas of the kitchen, and doing things that are far more complex, I have had a few run ins with the airfryer since we brought him home!

Was it nice?? This is a genius idea

Interesting to read what it's like, as I love baked Camembert and have an airfryer!

ShinySquirrel · 26/11/2022 18:12

Yep, loads. I have a ceramic camembert baker and haven't noticed a difference between the oven and the air fryer using it. The air fryer is quicker though.

Please tell us how it turns out and what temp / how long you cooked it.

It was lovely! I probably could've put it in for less, ten mins would probably do it next time. I stuck some crusty bread in for the last 7 mins and that went nice and crispy for dipping.

It's amazing with caramelised onion chutney on the top, but as we're heading into December, cranberry is good too!

Oh, and I whacked it on 180!
