Trusted carrot cake recipe please

Ds has his birthday in December, I always bake the mumsnet chocoalte cake, but he has requested a carrot cake this year. I've never made one! Please give me your tried and trusted recipes. Oh and any hints on getting a decent rise on a cake would be much appreciated!

I have a great recipe but my books are still in storage, so I made Paul Hollywood's recipe a few weeks ago and it was delicious. I added raisins tossed in a bit of flour and didn't bother with the candied peel.

The one in the BOSH recipe book is amazing. I make it often and it freezes well (the sponges, not with the frosting!).

I only put half the nutmeg in though as I find it a bit strong otherwise.
