I usually make Mary Berry's beef stew with horseradish and celeriac but I'm bored of it. I want something deep in flavour and moreish. Has anyone got a good one they can share please?

Also, tinned tomatoes. I don't know if I thought there was due to be some sort of apocalypse but I seem to have 20 tins!

Ideas of what to use them in would be fab. So far.

Bolognaise
Spicy lentil and pepper soup

Thank you!

The tomatoes will keep for years. Also price inflation means they cost you less than replacements will cost so I wouldn't rush to use them up.

I really like this one - but I add mushrooms, chopped pancetta or bacon and a tiny bit of marmite. It also uses tinned tomatoes so Grin there you go!
If you do it in the oven, check and stir it every so often or it can catch

Tinned tomatoes: all the time in this house.
curries (chicken, cauliflower, paneer, spinach)
pasta dishes
stews
used as a medium for poached eggs (alongside onions, spinach, peppers).

Stew: I do lots of root vegetables (carrot, parsnip, swede, sweet potato), onions/leeks and tinned tomatoes in the slow cooker for ages.

However a beef rendang in the slow cooker is also awesome.

Jamie Oliver's shin beef stew is very easy and one I use a lot ( it also uses tinned tomatoes)😂

Sausage casserole with loads of root veg and leeks is good and would use up a tin or two of tomatoes

2 tins of tomatoes make a lovely Dishoom tomato chilli jam - serve it up on bacon butties etc. Goes amazingly with eggs as well.

My favourite beef stew is beef with tinned tomatoes and carrots, dumplings at the end.
