Basically what the thread titles says. Looking at making homemade McFlurrys and love the ice cream so ideally want to match it as much as possible. Any suggestions?

Mackies? Big Sainsburys stock it. It’s easy to scoop straight from the freezer although you are meant to let it soften a bit first.

@urbanbuddha thank you, will give this a go!

This article might help! www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/food/11339989/mcdonalds-mcflurry-recipe/

I don't think Mackies tastes anything like the macflurry ice cream. A McFlurry is more like a mr whippy soft whip. I'm not sore you can buy ice cream like that.

Love mackies ice cream. It’s nicer than McFlurry but similar in that it’s kind of “milk” flavoured rather than vanilla flavoured. Is that what you’re after OP?

@SalviaOfficinalis yes just bought some mackies and it tastes lovely! Much creamier than McDonald's ice cream but still has that milkiness. Looking forward to trying out my homemade McFlurry. Putting some crushed maltesers in it, yum 😋

Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream is the closest to "American"/McDonald's tasting ice cream, so that would probably work if softened. But it's cheaper to just go to McD's 😁
