Any good tips about what I can do with leftovers?

Spooky, I've just been watching an American making macaroni in a restaurant on You Gotta Eat Here. And yes... he used cream and cheese, no bechamel.

I feel as though that would be too rich... you'd need a lot of cream

The very best thing to do with macaroni cheese is to take it out of the container BEFORE eating any and throw it in the bin. Horrible stuff!

I just add a splash of milk and microwave it. Yum.

To be fair, I think it's was the fistfuls of shredded pork that might have made it too rich 🤣

Haha I adapted a 'quick' recipe which used cream as a shortcut: melted butter and flour, cream (or milk), loads of cheese with some salt, pepper, spice of choice

Now if it was leftover cauliflower cheese, then we might get creative. But leftover mac'n'cheese is a definite reheat-and-eat solution.

The meal that stands out most in DH's mind, is the deep fried macaroni cheese pie he had in Aviemore about 20 years ago. The mc toastie is a genius approximation.

North of the border you can get macaroni pies in the supermarket or many bakers
