Slow cooker help

I was gifted a new (to me) slow cooker last week and today I thought I would break it in.

Put in the ingredients for a cacciatore before leaving for a late shift. Just come come to find a delicious but watery dinner.

In the 10 or so years I've been without I've confused the rule. I added extra water to the recipe instead of reducing it.

I've now wacked it on high with the lid off. Help me Mumsnet. Is there anything else I can do to save it?

Too late now, but I'd have removed most of the liquid & either
boiled it on the hob, or
added cornflour slurry if I wanted to keep the volume of liquid.

I did pretty much that.

It was late so I turned it off and went to bed. Then this morning poured it into a pan on the hob and reduced it down. My house smells delicious and the cacciatore tastes it.

Now I have the base of a cottage pie in there... I'm batch cooking. 😁
