Do you think i can freeze Rocky Road?

Have a load of Rocky Road (Nigella Express - sooo yum) and would like to freeze some. Ingredients are choc, butter, golden syrup, marshmallow and biscuit.
Would it still taste nice after defrosting?

No idea but would love it if you could post the recipe (or better still send us some of the surplus!)

Ive done it, tho not the nigella one. It actually froze really well. PLus you can defrost it in the micro then have it warm with icecream melting over it.

Hmmm, sounds like a very good idea Chopster, will try it.

Melt in a bowl over pan of simmering water: 300g dark choc (although i do a mix of milk and dark when i make it for the kids otherwise it is very rich) 125g butter 45ml golden syrup

Bash a packet of Rich Tea biscuits (200g) 100g mini marshmallows

Mix these into choc mixture, tip into a dish 24cm square, flatten it a bit then into the fridge for a couple of hours, so easy and delicious.

Surplus? I am sure i did not mention any surplus...

You didn't mention any surplus but I just assumed that if you had so much you couldn't eat it all just now that....

But never mind, DH has been summoned to Luton for work next week so will be able to pick up some golden syrup.

Hi Othersideofthechannel, here is a yummy rocky road recipe without the golden syrup which I use. I couldn't wait for trips over to stock up on the G.S. so found this one instead and it is delicious, even my american friends loved it so it must be close to the real stuff: www.dooyoo.co.uk/recipes/cakes/1180439/
