Got the dessert wine but no ideas what to serve with it!

Have got a lovely (or so i hope)1/2 bottle of Sauternes. Is our 3rd anniversary on Tuesday and cooking nice meal but little stuck for dessert ideas, any suggestions please? Wine will be honey sweet so maybe something that is not too sweet?

How do you feel about cheese? A roquefort would be lovely.

Home made pavlova with lots of whipped cream and raspberries (eg) which are quite tangy to take off the sweet edge?

Ah roquefort, what a brill idea! That should taste fantastic (orgasmic springs to mind!) will get some pumpernickel as well.

Ripe pears are ideal with sauternes...Would go with the roquefort as well.

Oh yes, there is actually nothing nicer than ripe pears with roquefort and pumperknickle bread accompanied by a glass of sauternes! enjoy
