Hi!
My mum is thinking of getting a Remoska, does anyone have one? The lady in Lakeland said you can cook anything in it... my dads recently passed away and she's now cooking for one, with the price of gas she's seriously considering getting one but is worried as they cost a lot and when she gets it it may not be all it's cracked up to be!

My mum had one and loved it - a long time ago now but I remember her doing loads with it. You do have to think about counter space as the lid is hot and heavy.

I remember reading through some reviews - type Remoshka reviews. Some people use them in their caravans. Ages ago I wanted one (when they did the smaller one), however I really would have had no space for it!

I am alone now too and have the standard Remoska. It's great and can be used to cook pretty much anything and uses little electricity. I've seen pictures of lovely looking cakes baked in one, but I haven't tried it yet myself.
It's perfect for cooking for one ... everything in the pot, so hardly any washing up required!
The heating element is in the lid, but I don't find it overly heavy to lift.

They are fantastic. In our old house the oven went and I decided to get one and used it for years. When we got our kitchen redone I bought a smaller one and donated the large one to a community group.

I use it two to three times a week. It makes the best mashed potatoes because they don't get full of water and you can mash them in the pan and add cheese and leave them in there to get a crispy top.

I've never had a bad meal from it. I regularly recommend them.

Fished mine out from the back of the cupboard and now use it all the time.
