I put a meal in the slow cooker this morning, nothing fancy just chicken and frozen veg in stock which I'll add noodles to for the last bit. Got everything out the freezer and intended to defrost the chicken in the microwave, but my brain switched off and I put it in frozen along with the veg.
Only just realised and it's already been in 2.5 hours. Everything seems hot and defrosted now, but will it have been cold for to long? If it makes a difference the stock was made with boiling water, so that might have speeded up it getting to temperature.
Is it OK to eat? Or would you chuck it and make something different?
