How long does vacuum packed tempeh last?

I've just found a packet at the back of the fridge. Looks ok but should have been eaten by 8th month. Better Nature product.

It is a cultured food so I'm wondering if it would still be safe.

I tend to go by how much date it has in the first place - you can add a proportion of that I reckon. It has a really long time doesn’t it? So I mean I’d happily add a week into something with a 6 week date on it, but not onto something with four days.

8th is a while though. Maybe have a look and smell of it.
