Does anyone have an egg cooker - and what do you think of it? Are they as wonderful as my French eggs?

Inspired by staying in a french hotel this summer, where guests could cook their own eggs in a special hot bath.... Wow! My 10 minute egg was the best hard-boiled egg I have ever had ... gently set all the way through, so moist.... the water never went above the merest whisper of a simmer.

I think there's something simple we can buy here? possibly from Lakeland?

Does anyone have one and is it wonderful or are my expectations artificially raised?

Also aware they hopefully use less energy, given the winter we have coming and the number of eggs I eat.....

We have an egg cooker and no, it doesn't do that. It cooks at a set temperature for a variable amount of time. It sounds like your French ones were at a much lower temperature for much longer. 10 minutes in my egg cooker would give you rocks.

It sounds like your amazing eggs were basically in a sous vide bath. We have a sous vide setup that DH made using Instructables.com, with a few electrical components and a slow cooker we already had. I haven't tried eggs in it (yet), but I can tell you, it gives a whole new perspective on a steak.
