Cake tin liner in air fryer ?

Do you use the cake tin liners in your air fryer ?
I thought you shouldn’t as it’s designed to have the hot air flowing all around the food .

I don't make cakes in my AF, but surely the liner is inside the tin so the airflow is the same .

I use paper liners yes - keeps it nice and clean. I got them from Amazon

I use foil but just keep a gap around the side for air flow. If the paper liners touch the element they can catch fire.

People use them for any foods to reduce the cleaning
