So excited! My friend has gone away for a few days and has kindly lent me her airfryer to try it out, and see if I want one. Please tell me your favourite recipe so I can give it a go. TIA!

I can definitely recommend these, I’ve done them so many times

I use reds buffalo sauce because I didn’t like the franks one, I’m trying to eat healthy and I find myself dreaming of these

Low maintenance boiled eggs.

I did something the other day that was delicious. Made it up as I went along but-

Marinate pork loin steaks (so boneless chops) in a couple tbsp soy, tbsp vinegar, crushed clove of garlic and a tsp of honey.

Then set air fryer for 12 minutes (time depends on thickness of pork, but I check with a meat thermometer towards the end if I'm not sure), with preheat and turn reminder (so it pings half way). Pop them in when the air fryer is preheated.

Half way through flip them over, brush each one with a tsp of mayonnaise then cover in fresh seasoned breadcrumbs (garlic powder, thyme, salt and pepper), spray with some oil and pop them in for the rest of the time.

We had them with jacket potatoes and salad and they were so tasty.

Thanks - can't wait to try these. Perenially I'm interested that you only add breadcrumbs halfway through the cooking process ?

Low maintenance boiled eggs.

@Felicity42 how do you boil eggs in an airfryer?

Felicity42 · 18/09/2022 13:36

For two boiled eggs.
Just put eggs in air fryer straight from fridge.
Set temp at 140 then think for min it's 12 minutes for the two eggs.
Might be trial n error first times depending on your air fryer to get eggs how you want. Beauty of it is once you get the timing right, you can walk away, you don't need to babysit a saucepan.

Onion baajis

I’m not very good on quantities but something along these lines…

1 red and 1 white onion
1 green chilli (optional)
1 cup gram flour (you can use plain flour)
1 tbsp corn flour (if you have it)
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1 or 2 tsp curry powder
salt and pepper

Thinly slice your onions, place in a bowl, sprinkle with salt and set aside for 15 mins.

Finely slice your chilli if using

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Squeeze your onions over the bowl so the liquid comes out and then drop the onions in and mix.

Slowly add water until the batter comes together. You don’t want it too wet.

Scoop up some mixture and form into a rough ball with your hands, add to air fryer basket - this amount gave me 5 in each basket of the ninja dual AF

Airfry for 4 mins and then turn then over and air fry for another 3/4 mins or until crispy.

Also I always peel my potatoes into the basket, gave them a squirt with fry light and a bit of salt and pepper and air fryer them for 10 minutes. Delicious crispy snack while cooking the rest of dinner!
