After school snack

My 4 year old has just started reception and is coming home starving. The school lunches are taking some getting used to (he's quite a picky eater) so he's not eating a massive amount at lunchtime. We get home just after 3 and normally eat dinner about 5:30 so it's a long time for him to wait. Just wondering what others give after school for kids this sort of age?

He has fruit and veg as his school snack so I'm not too worried about him having more after school but obviously don't want him eating crisps etc all afternoon so looking for some balanced snacks which will see him though a couple of hours

A boiled egg and soldier.
Me and my siblings then next generation loved cereal after school.one of the best part of the day was cereal and citv! Do the same now and it's a lovely time no Mona the vampire now though😫
Toast and jam
Crackers the flavoured ones.
If we have time we do a buffet.3 bowls they get to choose from the draws(meats, fillers drawer, veggie and salad draw, cheese shelf, sauces etc. We've had some combinations but it goes down a treat and great for just exploring tastes.exaple would be salami cherry tomatoes and cheese.
Cream cheese and cucumber on rivets
Pasta salad
Fruit salad
A mini tub of custard with fruit to dip in or biscuit to bury in it.soft digestive in custard is a winner
Rice pudding hot or cold
Wraps
