I have a pot of unopened cottage cheese from 5 September in my fridge. Should/could I eat it? Just got shoved to back of fridge.

I would, it will be obvious if it’s off

If it tastes fine, it is fine.

Cook it into a spanish omelette/quiche or something if concerned.

I've had cottage cheese five months out of date, same circs, that was fine. Dairy products tend to keep quite bit unopened, just make sure to use them up quickly after opening.

Wouldn’t bother me. Id try it.

If it's full fat, it'll be fine. Fat-free stuff seems to go off faster.

My parents had a pot of double cream in their fridge for MONTHS. I was horrified, but it was perfect!

It's full fat. That's sorted lunch for me then!

My mistake it's fat free but it's fine on 2 Ryvitas and I think will last another 2 days.
