Adult snack ideas please!

Can anyone suggest any snacks that meet this criteria (please!):
Healthy (not too processed)
Quick/easy to grab/make
Not too expensive
Keeps well (doesn't need buying every day or two)
Portable e.g. can be grabbed on the way out to eat in the car

I keep not eating because I don't have anything like this in the house. The thing that fits the criteria is hard boiled eggs (if I prepare in advance) but I'm finding it an endurance test to actually eat them without gagging due to the texture 😄 . Cheese is good but I need a bit more variety. Any suggestions appreciated!

How about frittata or baked egg muffins things if you don't like the texture of hard boiled eggs. Can be batch prepared and kept in the fridge

Lidl do a bag of mini seedless sweet peppers, they are my current go to snack

Fruit! Fresh: Apples, bananas, clementines, Dried: Apricots, Figs, Dates, Raisins etc

Rice cakes

Nuts - either a big bag decanted into portions or buy individual bags/tubs if cost not an issue.

Dried fruit - as above.

decent cereal or nut bars (Graze or Kind bars when on offer) I leave these in my lunch bag all the time along with nice coffee sachet

yogurt drinks or smoothies - have good dates usually

cheese - I buy whatever snack size ones are on offer such as applewood.

crackers - many of the boxed versions contain pre packs of 3 or 4.

malt loaf bars

if you have a couple of minutes lightly toast a bagel and add butter, wrap in foil or put in a tub

mini bags of baked crisps or cheddars.

I’m loving this thread and hoping to also get more ideas, I work quite tricky shifts so often my eating patterns are snacks rather than full meals.

another thing I do if feeling tired and if doing a run of shifts is drive home from work via a Tesco Express or similar and buy my lunch and snacks for the next day or two. It really helps me and I sleep a little better knowing I have provided for myself the next day. Sometimes it is just small things like knowing I have a nice hot chocolate and breakfast pastry or fruit for the morning.

Pop your own popcorn and keep in ziploc bags

RedRobyn2021 · 07/09/2022 21:56

Boiled egg

RedRobyn2021 · 07/09/2022 22:00

I'm sorry just saw you already said eggs

Arenanewbie · 07/09/2022 22:02

It’s always a banana for me. Quick and easy.
I also love small bottles of kefir but they are quite expensive.

chunkofcheese · 07/09/2022 22:15

You're all amazing 🙏🏻

Cheese

FusionChefGeoff · 07/09/2022 23:06

Cooked marinated chicken chunks? Could do a big batch of eg tikka chunks then freeze in a bag.

Get a handful out each night to defrost for morning.

Carrots / sugar snap peas / celery / tomatoes / cucumbers with dip

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/09/2022 19:18

No prep or virtually no prep stuff that isn't fruit:
Celery sticks
Handful of radishes
Mini houmous pot with carrot sticks or celery
Nakd bars
Graze nuts or other nuts

Stuff to make:
Little pies or little quiches - stick in the freezer and take a couple out the night before
