What would you cook if you had about 150ml double cream left over? I'm vegetarian, but no restrictions other than that.

We go blackberry picking at this time of year and I always make this clafoutis.
Colcannon uses double cream, as does this amazing recipe for dauphinois potatoes.

Melt some blue cheese into it to make a great sauce for veggies.

Spaghetti carbonara.

You could churn it and make butter, just keep whisking it.

Rice pudding

Chop an onion.. Add it and half a bag of frozen peas to a small saucepan . Add double cream. Boil down until onions are soft..

There's no cream in real carbonara. Alfredo sauce on the other hand .... mmm

Lemon posset. Only need lemons, cream and sugar.

The winner HAS to be dauphinoise though surely, for the simple ingredients that you’d have in hand, quick prep time, assembly and lovely results

Cream should not be within a million miles of a carbonara ... please don't put in that
