I've just brought in our cooking apples from the tree this year. They're cleaned, peeled, cored, sliced and in the freezer. I'm after some nice old fashioned recipes - modern things can be a little too sticky sweet for me. I'm going to fry some with butter sugar and cinnamon for a little luxury for my porridge. I'll make applesauce, pies and crumbles. But I'm after a really nice cake recipe. Anyone have an old recipe?
