Freezing Brie

Has anyone frozen Brie, how is it once defrosted?
I know that almost anyone can be frozen but would Brie be good for bread/ crackers or does the texture suffer?

I’m taking food to DD in Uni and her fridge is broken so she’ll have to freeze anything that needs refrigeration. I have grated a block of cheddar for her but she loves Brie on crackers.

TIA

Brie freezes brilliantly, but it will be more mature when it comes out the freezer, and will also go off quicker, so I'd say use within a few days off defrosting. Frozen brie/camemberts work brilliantly for cooking with, especially if defrosted and cooked the same day. Hope that helps!

Yes, but freeze at the ooziness you want as it won’t continue maturing once defrosted again

Thank you both.
