Hi
we’ve got big family gathering coming up and I want to bring food for when people arrive - something to snack on as everyone arriving at different times. What’s best? Platters? Got different age groups including toddlers and teens. Grateful for any suggestions 🙏. Thanks.

What time of day is it? What do you mean by you want to bring it - do you have to transport to a venue? Does it have a kitchen?

Yes I would go for either a canapé sort of affair

Or antipasti but bits that can easily be picked up and eaten with one hand, so olives etc on sticks, meat in little rolls etc.

Sorry. Should have mentioned. We’ve hired a large house with kitchen. We’ll be the first to arrive so we’re bringing food that can either be eaten cold or warmed up. But need variety as different ages. No allergies thank goodness 😅

Is this snack food or is this food that will be the main meal but just needs to be served at different times? and how far do you have to travel? Because that makes a big difference.

If it was me and I could transport it safely (or cook it on arrival) I'd do roast chicken/s, bread and salads. That way there's inevitably something for everyone. But it doesn't work if you're driving for 5 hours yourself and the chicken is not necessarily going to be okay in the car.
