We have an abundance of beetroot. My plan is to batch cook some borscht, but would like to pickle some too. I’m a novice at this as I normally kill anything I grow so don’t having too much produce has never been an issue 😆
We love the Tesco sweet and fiery beetroot so I was going to try to mimic that. The ingredients list white wine vinegar, sugar, salt and chili extract. I have a jar of lazy chili, will this work? And what do I do? Boil the beetroot then chuck a bit of each ingredient in with the vinegar or is there more to it than that?
