Mole Sauce

I made a lovely Simply Cook Mexican pulled chicken last night. Does anyone know if a supermarket that sells Mole sauce? Or if an alternate? Thank you!

Mole is a sauce that takes quite a lot of time to make and there are indeed quite a few jarred and packaged sauces that are good. However, not all British supermarkets carry them.

I did find this recipe helpful. It obviously isn't traditional but it tastes pretty good and you can't beat a 20-minute sauce:

For the future, you can find excellent sauces from Mexico and dried chilies to make your own at:

It is easy to make, although it has a long list ingredients and takes a while.
DS makes it from time to time.

Coco powder! I knew I could taste chocolate in it! Thank you for helping Waitrose used to do it according to my online search. I might look for Mexican/Spanish shops?

sorry if I'm too late! However, I have made this a few times and it is amazing, even if isn't authentic - not that challenging and not any speciality ingredients. I find it very saucy so I now double the chicken, used the same quantities for other ingredients and it does two meals.
