Mini sized pepperoni HELP

Littleguggi · 13/08/2022 10:36

I want to make mini pizzas and wondered where in the UK I can buy mini pepperoni? I can see normal sized pepperoni in the shops but not mini sized. The type you get on ready made pizzas such as Chicago town.

Most supermarkets sell snack pepperoni

WeAreTheHeroes · 13/08/2022 10:38

Or slice up pepperami

Narcheska · 13/08/2022 10:38

Peperami.

I did wonder about pepperami! I haven't eaten it in 20 years so couldn't remember the texture/ taste. Would it be okay to cook in the oven or should I add it on after the pizza is cooked?

I can't seem to find snack pepperoni, I've tried all the usual supermarkets!

Pepperami you can add when you cook them or you can buy ready to cook or ready to eat mini chorizo from waitrose and marks.

Sainsbury do the small sized pepperoni.

Put it on the pizza before cooking, or it would be cold when the rest is hot which would be weird. It's a salami type thing like any other I imagine (never eaten it, but can sort of work it out from seeing it), it would crisp up in the oven.

I'm not sure I like the idea of the pepperami crisping up in the oven. I will have a nose around Sainsbury's and m&s, unfortunately don't have a Waitrose nearby. Thanks all!

We buy snack pepperami from Aldi.

Narcheska · 13/08/2022 10:52

Cooked peperami is nice! Also good in fried rice or noodles

Littleguggi · 13/08/2022 11:01

Maybe I need to try the cooked pepperami, it's just for a kids party so they won't be fussed either way I guess

Slice up one of these

www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/peperami-original-minis-10-x-10g

They crisp up just like normal pepperoni.

(Half a toasted English muffin, a squeeze of tomato puree, sprinkle of cheese, half a mini peperami and a teaspoon of sweetcorn under the grill makes a very quick mini pizza)
