Warming up lots of pitta.

Doing a buffet kind of thing next weekend. Trying to keep everything simple and want to some pitta strips with dips (don't worry I'm doing other stuff too) usually I'd toast pitta but I need to do maybe 20 in total.
How would you do them? Could I slice them then stick them on a few baking trays in an oven? How long would you say? Grilling isn't an option as my grill is temperamental.
Any thoughts please?

Leave them whole and put a bit of garlic butter on them then stick in the oven?

Yes, do as you say, cut into strips, spread on baking tray spray with oil and season, take 15 mins ish, but keep an eye on them as you want them crunchy but not burnt. They are loadsnicer this way than done in toaster.

Do you want them crispy? If you'd rather they stayed soft, I'd put them in a hot oven on a baking tray but covered in foil, for a few minutes max.

If you're keeping things simple, I'd leave them cold. They loose their heat very quickly and go hard, and cold isn't massively less nice with dips ect.

Uncooked pitta is horrible though, imo. I'd rather have some crisps or celery.

Thank you for all the replies, I think I need a mix of them all. Slice, wrap in foil, ten mins or so in the oven...

Breadsticks would be easier.

But so so dry. I'm doing a kind of mezze type thing. Mainly M&S so warming up pitta should be ok
