Snacks for weight gain

Both my boys are at the low end of the BMI scale and could do with putting a bit more weight on. I’ve been thinking about how I can help them. Both are very self conscious. First thought was smoothies with fruit and ice cream. I’d like to make some high calorie protein bars. Does anyone have a good recipe they’d like to share? Youngest DS is not keen on nuts, which is a pain. Eldest loves them.

Cheese and seed savoury flapjacks
Bagels with full fat cream cheese
Falafel and humous wraps
Full fat milkshakes
Rice pudding
Sausage sandwich

A couple of things I've benefited from include roasted chickpeas, coat generously in oil and add flavourings to suit, paprika, chilli, garlic, salt etc to suit and bake.
Similar can be done to make bagel chips. Slice the bagel downwards into little disk brush with either oil or melted butter (or garlic butter) and add flavouring. These also work well with finely grated Parmesan. But it's best to bake for a while first then add the Parmesan.

Another thing to remember is to add butters and oils to all salads and veg.

If a dish can have cheese added, add it.

Go for double filling in sandwiches, cheese and ham, cream cheese and smoked salmon, bacon and avocado, egg and bacon. Toasties are perfect for this!

About 35-40 mins at around 180 (fan), I shake them around a bit half way through.
