What can I make with condensed milk but no butter?

im currently trying to use up old stuff in the pantry and have loads and loads of flour and for some reason loads of condensed milk. I really don’t want to buy butter since it’s so expensive, is there anything I can make without butter? I have various other ingredients, eggs, suet etc but no butter.

any ideas?

Pour it on ice cream or fruit.

Get some fresh double cream and whizz it all up to make ice cream

Funnily enough I made millionaires shortbread today @Whichisit and had a chuckle as the tin says do not boil due to risk of can exploding - or words to that effect. I have definitely boiled the tin to make it years ago.

I have now got a brilliantly quick microwave recipe off TikTok so no need to boil the tin but you do need butter so no good for op.

Ice cream and ice lollies are the first things that spring to mind. You can use it for macaroni cheese too. The BBC Good Food website has recipes for all of these. Carnation's website has lots of recipes too.

Are you sure it's not evaporated milk for Mac and Cheese?

Fudge!
Pour it into a pan and heat it
Add chocolate 250g
Once it thickens take off heat and add a tub of chocolate spread

Let it Set 😋

Spanish iced latte. Expresso, milk, sugar ice and a generous teaspoon of condensed milk.

Delicious

Ice cream. There are recipes for a few different flavours but chocolate is my favourite. www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chocolate-ice-cream

Whichisit · 10/07/2022 23:11

@SoS505 that happened to a friend of mine - the tin exploded because she let the water all evaporate!

If you don't want to boil the tin you can open it, pour into a heatproof container and cook it in a very slow oven until it turns into caramel. No risk of exploding with that method.

Threetulips · 10/07/2022 23:13

Mints - add peppermint and sugar from memory!

mawbroon · 10/07/2022 23:19

I would just eat it out of the tin 😄

If you have any combination of nuts/seeds/oats make these... Nigellas Breakfast Barsthey are delicious...

LadyLolaRuben · 10/07/2022 23:26

Whip it into a large tub of double cream and add crushed up chocolate or biscuits of your choice to make a flavored ice-cream. Put in tub to set

caringcarer · 10/07/2022 23:30

Just pour a little over strawberries and raspberries and eat.

I was going to suggest these too. I also stir in a big dollop of peanut butter and sometimes add seeds, nuts, or even leftover ends of cereal boxes eg the small bits of crunchy nut cornflakes etc
