hello! am planning to make a cake for a party to feed c 25 adults, thinking two tiers. I am a novice baker but would like to give it a try! I am also thinking of using ermine frosting as it's less sweet.
busy with a baby myself, so planning to make it all in advance ie bake/freeze the layers in advance and then frost/decorate it the day before. Has anyone made ermine frosting in advance? what sort of timescale should i allow for decorating? the party's at lunch time and if possible i'd rather not do the decorating on the same day.
