Can anyone recommend a good bread recipe book? I have about a billion recipe books but none that have a good variety of bread recipes. Just bought a aldi knock off kitchen aid with a dough hook and want to make the most of it! Bonus if I can get it on Amazon easily as have a gift voucher to use up

I have Dan Lepards Short and Sweet. It's on Amazon but if you can wait a few days there are second hand websites that sell it for a fraction of the price. It's not just bread but the bread section is extension with lots of information on the hows and whys of bread making.

Flour Water Salt Yeast is another good one but it's exclusively bread.

Yep, the Dan Lepard books and the FWSY one is great. I have a fair few now as I've been doing a lot of baking the last couple of years. I bought the Dusty Knuckle book recently, that's a nice book and they have a great back story.

Kitty Tait has done a book recently, not got it but she's a superstar.

Bake with Jack is good on YouTube.

Was there any particular recipe you were after? With a dough hook, you'll be able to do very soft, rich doughs. I don't knead much for normal bread.

I recommend the Richard Bertinet books. The first one has basic recipes for white, whole meal and sweet breads and then each basic recipe has variations to mix it up a bit. Really good intro to bread making.

I love Elizabeth David‘s English Bread and Yeast Cookery. Old fashioned but she is always efficient and she is intelligent and interesting in her writing.

The Gino Di Campo Italian Home Baking one always works well for me

Sorry Gino D'Acampo

I clearly should have checked the spelling before posting
