Can I eat this?

On Saturday night I made a veggie chilli with kidney beans, black eyed beans, onions, mushrooms, tomato sauce, spices etc. Left it overnight in the pressure cooker, reheated it fully the next day and had another portion. Today (Wednesday) I remembered it's still in the pressure cooker and went to throw it out but it still looks and smells fine. Would it make me ill if I reheated it thoroughly again and ate it? It's been very warm weather but it has been sealed in the pressure cooker. I'm new to veggie cooking and not sure about beans and food safety.

No.

No

Nope

Unfortunately not. It's basically been kept at prime bacteria growth temperature for a few days. Even if it had been kept in the fridge after you made it, it would be on its last legs today. It's not worth the risk.

A big NO from me as well.

dementedpixie · 22/06/2022 19:38

No I wouldn't eat it

It has already been reheated and then left out for several days. You should have put it in the fridge after cooking it and then reheated separate portions rather than heating the whole thing again.

Ah I thought you might all say that. I hate wasting food but better safe than sorry I guess. Thanks!

Nope & I'm the type to eat stuff dropped on the floor or lucked by the dog.

I am usually pretty lax about stuff like this but even I wouldn't eat that!

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 23/06/2022 11:11

I’m such a minger with things like this and no… I’d not eat that

picklemewalnuts · 23/06/2022 11:19

This may be the first time ever I've said no to that question! Generally I'm all 'It'll be fine...' but not this time.
